Healing Ritual Bath Soak

  • I designed Ritual to become a part of your standard soaking routine.  I wanted to create something powerfully enriching and relaxing, and something affordable.  Everyone should find a way to make time for self-care. 

    Create an ambiance of sacredness with music and illuminate your space by lighting candles. Draw your bath, and soak with intention for 25 minutes or longer. Breathe. Focus on your overall goal, visualise, and relax.

    Natural salts and minerals have been used for thousands of years in for medicinal, beautification and natural healing purposes.  And while it all may seem like one and the same, there are some distinct differences between the many kinds of natural salts. We use them in medicine to treat a range of ailments, in our baths to soothe and soak away aches and pains, and when mixed with essential oils they become a refreshing natural addition to our beauty regime.


    The Ritual

    Add desired amount to warm running bath water and let dissolve for a minute or two before enjoying the aroma experience.  It is best to add close to when you are entering the bath to fully benefit from the aromatherapy. 

  • Salts:

    Epsom Salt: An Epsom salt bath is known to ease pain and relieve inflammation, making it beneficial in the treatment of sore muscles. 

    Great source of magnesium, an essential trace mineral in the human body. Researchers have found that soaking in epsom salt 3 times a week can help one improve energy levels, look better, and feel better.


    Dead Sea Salts:

    The dead sea contains 27% of various salts as compared to 3% in normal sea water. Contains a good source of magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides. Great for replenishing the bodies trace minerals.


    Pink Himalayan Sea Salt: One of the best sources of natural minerals. Himalayan pink salt works as a powerful detoxifier. When dissolved in water, Pink Himalayan sea salt becomes an ionic solution that helps to draw the toxins out of skin and adipose tissues. This process will leave you feeling refreshed and energised.


    Essential Oils:

    Ylang Ylang: the oil of the heart. It can help us connect to our own heart, process things from the heart, and heal emotional traumas.

    Lavender: often used for invitation of the spirits. It is also known to aid with relaxation, helping calm the mind and body.  Lavender has been used as a remedy for many ailments throughout the centuries. Its scent itself is believed to help eliminate nervous tension, relax the mind, and heal the soul. Lavender has been a common in plant in homes restore balance to the body. Its light floral and herbal aroma soothes the spirit and puts you in a peaceful space. Lavender is beneficial for a restful night’s sleep.     Jasmine:  Known as mistress of the night and moonlight of the grove, because its seductive scent reaches its peak late at night.


    Botanical Flowers:

    Calendula flower: Used for centuries are a remedy for irritated skin. Even if soothing your skin isn't your main mission, this soak is still incredibly softening and feel absolutely luxurious for any skin type.

    Rose Petals:  Ancient Egyptians believed roses to possess powerful healing and aphrodisiac properties and as a timeless symbol of wisdom and beauty. Mood boosting and helps relieve symptoms of stress and anxiety. Been a well-known beautifier for centuries. It is a symbol of love and It induces a feeling of well-being and blissfulness.  Roses have a beautiful scent which enhances your mood and refresh your skin naturally. They contain anti-oxidants that fight off free radicals and skin irritants. Roses have therapeutic benefits that relax the body, reduce stress and promote glowing skin. Rose petals contain natural oils and sugars that will lock moisture into dry skin cells. The sugars found in rose petals especially benefit those with sensitive skin.


    Jojoba Oil - this miracle oil is jam packed with Omega 3 and 6 and vitamins A, D and E. It is kind to all skin types including sensitive skin.
